FLOATING IN-BETWEEN

Today I came to you
with a smile or two
but you passed me through
with the invisibility of you

I turned around and said
“Don’t act like I’m dead!”
you certainly made me sad
when you ignored me like that

I ran towards you and asked why
you didn’t say and started to cry
then you looked up high in the sky
and wished the tears would come to dry

I tried so hard but failed to understand
what was there for me to comprehend
then a man came and said while holding your hand
“He’s no more, will you rise and stand?”

if that 'someone' is destined 4 a person
Then that 'someone' will one day, come to you
if not
embrace new experiences, possibilities
and u'll become stronger by day :)

EVERYONE: I love all of your sincere comments..i appreciate all of it:)

But did anyone realize that 'I' in the poem is dead? That's why the girl didn't respond to him, that's why she cried, that's why another man said "He's no more, will you rise and stand?"..and that 'I' hasn't realized that he's dead..heehee..:P

aiMo0o June 4, 2009 at 4:48 PM

wooooo... very deep..
Can a person who is still alive consider themselves dead just bcoz they feel hopeless or heartbroken?

Igniz June 4, 2009 at 4:52 PM

aimooo: that one I'm not sure..i think it depends on the person..but in this poem, the 'I' is really dead. i mean, REAL dead, not alive anymore. heehee:)
